“Follow your dreams, they know the way.”

I have referred to myself as a runner for over twenty years now, but believe it or not, have never signed up for a full marathon. I’ve decided to take on that frightening but also exciting challenge in 2022. My first marathon will be the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Marathon Weekend on January 8, 2022.

A full marathon is 26.2 miles, a distance I have never before ran all at once. I have completed nine half marathons, which are 13.1 miles each, including The Air Force Half, several Gasparilla Half’s, St. Augustine Half, and other Disney Half Marathons. but I have always been a little intimidated to run the full marathon. I think the fear of not finishing the race has always stopped me from even attempting it. I did the research, started a training plan, sought advice from runners who have been there and done that… Now I’m as ready as I can be!

I, like many others, have that fear of failure, but I have decided not to let that stop me this year. Fear has two meanings – Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise. I have chosen to rise, and I hope anyone who is reading this becomes motivated and faces whatever they are currently struggling to face at this moment.
You got this!!! You are amazing and will do great😍
