Is it worth adding the Photopass to your Disney trip or annual pass? I’ll let the photos from the last 8 years of being Walt Disney World Passholders speak for themselves…

Plus if you participate in RunDisney Races and already have the Photo Pass they make it incredibly easy to link your bib number for up to 5 runners and all of your photos will automatically show up in your MDE app – My Disney Experience App within a few hours of the race finish!

So what is Disney Photopass?  To sum it up, Disney’s PhotoPass service is the name of the overall photo system at Disney World. Walt Disney World has hundreds of PhotoPass photographers strategically stationed at the perfect and most iconic photo spots throughout the parks and also offers ride photos on select attractions, plus character meet and greets! With PhotoPass, you can have photos taken in all the parks, including my favorite –  Magic Shots where Disney will place special effects in your pictures after they are taken. Plus since somebody else is taking the picture, you’ll actually be able to have everyone in your group in your photo with you. Side note: You can also request the photographers to take photos using your own camera too!!

After you’ve taken photos throughout your trip, you’ll be able to review them all in the My Disney Experience App. If you have purchased Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day, or if you are an Annual Passholder who has added on the PhotoPass option like we do, you’ll be able to download your pics easily onto your phone or computer. If you haven’t purchased Memory Maker, your photos will have a watermark, and you won’t be able to download them unless you select a photo product to purchase.

So our answer is YES – for $99 for one year we can take unlimited amounts of photos and it has been wonderful to use this system when it’s just the two of us or when we meet up with friends or family – plus the RunDisney races! Lasting memories we will cherish forever, just creating this post took me down memory lane and brought a big smile to our faces!
