What is Sangria University?
Sangria University is an interactive and educational experience where guests can learn about the history, ingredients, and techniques of crafting sangria. Guided by expert “Professors,” participants get hands-on experience in creating their own custom sangria blends while tasting different varieties.
“Led by our professionals, this afternoon course will discuss the history of sangria and reveal the recipes used to make the 4 in-house varieties served at Three Bridges Bar and Grill. The lesson is followed by a tasting of the 4 sangria offerings and will be accompanied by a light appetizer. Best of all, you’ll have the opportunity to make your own glass of sangria from a selection of fresh fruits and base spirits!” – from the website where you can book!
Where is Sangria University?
Sangria University is held at the picturesque Three Bridges Bar & Grill, located at Villa del Lago in the middle of Lago Dorado lake. The serene setting, with stunning views of the lake and resort, adds to the overall charm of the experience.
How to Book Sangria University
Reservations: Sangria University is a popular activity and advanced reservations are required. You can make reservations by calling Disney’s dining reservation line or through the My Disney Experience app.
Schedule: This experience is held on Saturdays and Sundays and is approximately 90 minutes in duration. Check the current schedule and availability when making your reservation.
The Experience
Arrival: Plan to arrive at Three Bridges Bar & Grill a few minutes before your session. The venue’s welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for a fun and educational experience.
Welcome and Introduction: Your “Professor” will greet you and provide an overview of the session. You’ll learn about the history of sangria, its cultural significance, and the essential ingredients used in its preparation.
Hands-On Mixing: The hands-on portion of the class is where the fun begins. You’ll have access to various wines, fruits, juices, and other ingredients to create your custom sangria blends. The Professor will guide you through the process, offering tips and tricks to enhance your creation.
Tasting and Pairing: Throughout the session, you’ll taste different types of sangria and learn about flavor profiles and pairing suggestions. This is an excellent opportunity to discover new favorite combinations.
Certificate: At the end of the session, you’ll receive a certificate of mastery from Sangria University!

It was so fun! I highly recommend it and we both learned a lot about the history and the different varieties of Sangria around the world. At the end, we both made our own original sangrias based off what we learned – Mark went more traditional (and strong) and I went with everything grapefruit and they were delicious!

How did you learn about Sangria University? I love extras like these. They are a great alternative to parks. A lot of these stopped due to the plague and I’m glad to see they are coming back.
