Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille at the St. Pete Pier has become one of our favorite places for waterfront drinks. When the new St Pete Pier opened in July 2020, it brought a 10,000-square-foot waterfront restaurant to the base of the pier.

Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille has sweeping views inside and out of downtown St Petersburg, FL, and Tampa Bay. Enjoy the sea breeze while the planes take off from Albert Whitted Airport and boats pass from the St. Petersburg Municipal Marina.
Doc Ford’s has an eleven-page drink menu with tropical favorites, rum favorites, and flights, plus a special menu of drinks where $1 from each drink sold is donated to the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Who doesn’t want to drink for a good cause?
We love the menu when we are in the mood for seafood and Caribbean-style food. They serve soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees with a Caribbean flare and offer an extensive gluten-free menu.
We love to sit outside near the water and enjoy tropical cocktails, take in a sunset over the city, and listen to the talented musicians who often play live near the water. This is a fun place to hang out and one of our favorites near the St Pete Pier.
Doc Ford’s recently opened a second location in St. Pete in the Jungle Terrace neighborhood near Bay Pines. They can also be found in Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach – We suggest you find one near your next vacation and try it!
