Want to stroll through a 100-year-old tropical paradise and come across gorgeous exotic birds including a flock of Flamingos? Well, St Pete, FL has just that at Sunken Gardens.
Pinellas Park is such a cute little city in the heart of Pinellas County, and we are often delighted by the events they put on in the local England Brothers Park. We enjoy walking the neighborhoods this time of year to look at everyone’s holiday decor and happily came across the Holiday in the Park celebration!
If you have ever visited our lovely Downtown St. Petersburg there is a very good chance you have seen this stunning building on Central Avenue and wondered what incredible things might be inside – and let me tell you incredible things are waiting for you inside The James Museum!
St. Petersburg, FL is home to many world-renowned restaurants and unique eateries in every possible food genre. One of our particular favorites is the authentic Asian foods that you can find all over the city and we are so lucky to be home to one of only 4 locations in the world for – Buya Ramen.
Our favorite time of year also includes one of our favorite local festivals! St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church in St Petersburg, FL pulls out all the stops to serve our community with incredible Greek food, drinks, music, dancing, and culture each year at the Super Greek Festival.
If you know me, you know I have always been a bit obsessed with mid-century modern design, clothing, decor, and more, and am basically in love with everything from the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s. Luckily our city of St. Pete, FL has an incredible monthly Vintage Market that we first attended and wrote about back in 2021. A little over a year ago they moved from their original location on Second Ave South to a brand new space across town – so we had to check it out!
The Pinellas Park Oktoberfest is hosted by The German American Society of Pinellas County and has been voted “Best of the Bay” for being “Tampa Bay’s most authentic Oktoberfest”!!! Finally, a festival that made us feel like we were home and it’s practically in our backyard!
We love our city!! I want to bring focus to one of the most inspiring events in our city each year – The SHINE Mural Festival in St. Pete, Florida.
Looking for a festive place to enjoy happy hour this Florida fall and winter? Look no further than our two favorite themed establishments in the heart of our beautiful city – Dracula’s Legacy Wine Bar & Bistro and directly next door – The Ale & The Witch Tap House in downtown St Pete. It is the best of both worlds during spooky season!
One of the biggest reasons we chose to move to the St Petersburg, FL area seven years ago was the beaches – duh!! We originally fell in love with the Treasure Island and Madeira Beach areas but there’s a true gem just south of there and past the pink castle in the sand (The Don Cesar Hotel) called Pass-a-grille.
