This is a fun one! When you often pass an epic looking place on I-4 near Tampa, FL that has giant dinosaur statues along the highway and looks a bit like a vintage tourist trap… plus you have friends that are as obsessed with Dinosaurs as you are – Dinosaur World is a must stop adventure!

This dino-mite silly adventure took place in July of 2019 and is definitely one of our favorite random adventures. Before going to Dinosaur World, we stopped at Keel & Curly – just down the road – for some amazing food and drinks, we highly recommend this place, but that will be for another post! After we had a dino-sized lunch we headed back in time – to our childhood – where the obsession for all of us began.

You can spend hours wandering among hundreds of life-sized dinosaurs in a beautiful natural setting, walking along boardwalks that wind through natural areas shaded by centuries-old oak trees – true Florida! They have a Prehistoric Museum Gallery, Florida Fossil Museum, a 7,000 square foot gift shop, and SO MANY PHOTO OPS along the way!

If you are looking for a fun way to step back in time, revisit your childhood, and escape reality for a couple of hours – this was a fun place to do it!
