Urban Brew and BBQ on Central Ave in St. Pete is one of our favorite rainy-day establishments. It has a massive covered outdoor space and a cozy, quaint bar with indoor seating.
Urban Brew and BBQ are known for scratch-made BBQ and southern foods with a big emphasis on whisky, bourbon, and craft beers. It’s located in the Grand Central District at 2601 Central Ave St. Petersburg, FL, next to some of our favorite antique and specialty stores, bars, coffee shops, and other delicious restaurants.

As I mentioned, Urban Brew and BBQ has a massive covered patio overlooking shuffleboard courts, a large outdoor bar area, more limited indoor table seating, and a smaller bar area. We love sitting outside under the twinkling lights while it drizzles, enjoying comfort foods like fried green tomatoes, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and southern-style greens. Since we no longer eat meat (sometimes fish and shrimp), we enjoy their Beyond Burgers with all the fixings!
It’s always fun pairing their delicious made-from-scratch foods with handmade cocktails, whisky and bourbon flights, or unique craft beers from local breweries.
