Along the shores of Tampa Bay, amidst the vibrant city life, lies an almost hidden tropical paradise and one of our favorite local spots on the water. Hula Bay is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience—an escape from the ordinary with lovely views and laid-back island vibes.
Tucked into an industrial area on the edge of Tampa Bay and hidden amongst a marina, you will find the unique Hula Bay Club Restaurant and Bar. Get there early, though. It fills up quickly with it’s great happy hours, cool location, and limited parking!

As you step into Hula Bay, you’re greeted by the gentle sway of palm trees and the soothing sound of water lapping against the dock. The atmosphere is immediately inviting, with its open-air dining area and views of Tampa Bay.
Whether you are seeking a romantic dinner for two or a lively gathering with friends, Hula Bay offers the perfect setting for any occasion. This spot has become a go-to before going out in Tampa or meeting up with out-of-town friends and family. Our first visit was with my mom before we went to see Hamilton at the Straz, and we have been back many times since!

They have great photo opportunities both on the patio and the restaurant’s front entrance, and it’s always nice to grab a photo memory of each visit. I love a good neon sign!
