Pinellas Park is such a cute little city in the heart of Pinellas County, and we are often delighted by the events they put on in the local England Brothers Park. We enjoy walking the neighborhoods this time of year to look at everyone’s holiday decor and happily came across the Holiday in the Park celebration!

On December 1st, 2023, at 5:30 pm, Mayor Sandra Bradbury, City Council members, City officials, and residents came together for the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at England Brothers Park (5010 81st Avenue). After the tree lighting, everyone enjoyed the Holiday In The Park event (Fri., Dec. 1st & Sat. Dec. 2nd) from 6 pm to 10 pm! Admission to this community-wide family event, which featured children’s games, bounce houses, music entertainment, photos with Santa ($5), hayrides ($3), and lots of local vendors, was FREE.

Mark and I grew up in tiny towns in Ohio where these events were all the rage and brought the close-knit community together a couple of times each year. We have a special place in our hearts for this event and love living in this once-farm town. Then, couple it with the holidays; the nostalgia is off the charts! It’s just an adorable family event!

I live in SW Ohio and grew up in a small town too. Lots of good memories! It looks odd to see a Christmas festival with people in t-shirts and shorts! Lol
lol yes it is strange! We’ve been here almost nine years and it’s hard to get a real holiday vibe in Florida but because of that most people go over the top to make it feel like Christmas and it works!
