You guys know I’m a Disney girlie through and through, but Universal Studios in Orlando has stolen a piece of my heart! As a massive Harry Potter fan and a theme park lover, Universal has so much to offer, and I am excited to start spending way more time exploring these parks and resorts.
This past weekend, some friends and I went to Universal Studios – Island of Adventure, and I finally stayed at a Universal Studios Resort Hotel. It was a fantastic experience, and I want to tell you all about it!

Universal Orlando’s Dockside Inn and Suites
Universal Studios Orlando is known for its immersive attractions and incredible themed lands, but just as important is choosing the right place to stay. Dockside Inn and Suites at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort is a top-notch choice for families or groups looking for comfort, convenience, and affordability. Universal Resorts are categorized into three tiers: Signature Collection, Prime Value Hotels, and Value Inn and Suites. Dockside Inn and Suites is a wonderful hotel in the Value category.
Resort Overview and Theme
Dockside Inn and Suites brings a relaxing, coastal vibe to your Universal vacation. Inspired by the charm of beachside living, the resort features light, breezy decor, warm, neutral tones, and nautical touches that create a tranquil atmosphere. From the moment you enter the lobby, with its expansive open spaces and surfboard decor, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a seaside retreat. This laid-back theme continues throughout the property, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a busy day at the parks.

The suite’s thoughtful layout and functional design ensure a comfortable stay for families or groups of up to six guests. It was beyond perfect for a girls night or weekend and gave the three of us plenty of space.
Transportation to the Parks
One of the biggest perks of staying at Dockside Inn and Suites is the complimentary shuttle service to Universal Orlando’s theme parks and CityWalk. These shuttles run frequently throughout the day, ensuring you’re never far from the action. The resort’s close proximity means a short ride of about 5-10 minutes, allowing you to maximize your time in the parks. The buses run until 2 AM, and it was such a wonderful perk of staying onsite!
For guests who prefer to drive, the resort is a quick hop from Universal’s parking structures, and on-site parking is available for a nightly fee.

I haven’t been to Universal for decades. I’m hoping to check out the Harry Potter Worlds after Epic Universe opens. With any luck, most of the crowds will be headed to the new park, while I explore the ‘old’ stuff which will be a first for me…
