I recently had the privilege of experiencing a behind-the-scenes tour through Universal Foundations training, and the more time I spend learning about Universal, the more I fall in love with all that Universal Orlando has to offer.
Sapphire Falls is part of Universal’s Signature Collection, and it’s an ideal getaway for both out-of-town visitors and Florida residents looking for a tropical staycation.

Universal Orlando Resorts are grouped into different hotel collections to fit a variety of budgets and vacation styles:

- Signature Collection $$$$ (Universal Helios Grand, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort ): Upscale accommodations with extra perks, including complimentary Universal Express Unlimited to skip the regular lines at most attractions.

From the moment you step into Sapphire Falls, you’re greeted by vibrant colors, lush greenery, and the soothing sound of cascading waterfalls. The design blends modern sophistication with island-inspired touches, creating a relaxed yet upscale vibe. Think warm wood accents, bright tropical blues, and open airy spaces that make you feel transported to a Caribbean paradise. The lobby alone sets the tone, with its soaring ceilings, lantern lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly relaxes you.











Amenities and Shopping
Guests have access to a variety of resort amenities, including a fitness center, game room, business center, and Universal Orlando’s signature perks like charging privileges across the resort.
For shopping, you can browse the Universal Studios Store located right inside the hotel for souvenirs, apparel, and travel necessities without having to go into the parks.
Dining Options
Sapphire Falls is also a foodie-friendly destination. The Amatista Cookhouse offers a full-service dining experience featuring Caribbean-inspired cuisine, while Strong Water Tavern is a favorite for its craft cocktails and impressive rum collection. The tavern is especially popular for its laid-back island vibe and rum specialists who help guide your tasting experience.
For something more casual, there’s a grab-and-go market, New Dutch Trading Co., offering coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and snacks.




Resort-Only Guest Perks
Staying at Sapphire Falls offers guests exclusive benefits, including Early Park Admission, which grants entry into select attractions at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure up to one hour before the general public.

Sapphire Falls offers 1,000 guest rooms, including 83 suites, so there’s something for every type of traveler. Standard rooms feature modern, Caribbean-inspired décor with bright pops of color.
At the same time, suites offer extra space and upgraded amenities—perfect for families or anyone seeking a little more room to relax. Many rooms offer pool or lagoon views, adding to the resort’s tranquil escape feel.








Sapphire Falls’ accommodations are designed with both style and comfort in mind, and every room features a fresh, tropical theme that ties into the resort’s Caribbean-inspired design.
Standard guest rooms (approx. 321 square feet) feature bright, airy décor with splashes of turquoise and sandy neutrals, creating a calm island retreat. For those needing more space, the Kids’ Suites offer a fun and colorful nautical theme with separate areas, allowing parents and kids to enjoy their own space.
The Hospitality Suites and Presidential Suites feature expanded living and dining areas, perfect for entertaining or relaxing during extended stays.
Many rooms also offer views of the lagoon, pool, or Universal’s theme parks, so you can start and end your day with a picture-perfect backdrop. No matter which option you choose, the rooms combine modern amenities with island flair for a stay that feels both relaxing and luxurious.








The Pool Area
One of the standout features of Sapphire Falls is its 16,000-square-foot resort-style pool—the largest pool on Universal property. Surrounded by lush palm trees and sandy areas, it feels like a tropical hideaway.
Families will love the waterslide, zero-entry section, and kids’ play area, while adults can unwind with private cabana rentals or grab a drink at the Drhum Club Kantine, the poolside bar and grill.



The private cabana rentals can be upgraded with amenities such as a stocked fridge, ceiling fan, TV, and comfortable lounge seating—perfect for a relaxing pool day in the Florida sun.
Guests can also enjoy poolside activities, from games and music to dive-in movies on select nights, making the pool area a true hub of fun and relaxation!








Location and Transportation
Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is perfectly positioned in the heart of the action. Located on Universal property, the resort is just minutes away from Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and has a dedicated walking path to Universal’s Volcano Bay.
Transportation couldn’t be easier—guests enjoy complimentary water taxi service to CityWalk and the parks, as well as convenient shuttle buses. For those who prefer a short stroll, it’s only about a 15-minute scenic walk to CityWalk along the beautifully landscaped garden paths.
