A Marriott Bonvoy Tribute Portfolio Stay Near Universal Studios & Epic Universe

When planning a Universal Orlando vacation, many travelers immediately think of staying on-site at one of the official Universal hotels—and for good reason. On-site properties come with incredible perks like Early Park Admission and complimentary transportation to the parks. As a travel advisor, I often recommend them and love staying there myself.

However, one of the best aspects of working with a travel advisor (like me!) is that you receive personalized options tailored to your style, preferences, and loyalty programs. That’s why I also want to highlight another excellent choice just minutes away from Universal Orlando: Hotel Landy Orlando, a Marriott Bonvoy Tribute Portfolio hotel.

Hotel Landy Orlando

Why Hotel Landy is Worth Considering

Hotel Landy is only a 7-minute drive to Universal CityWalk, making it an easy home base for Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay. It’s also in a prime location for the brand-new Epic Universe theme park, as well as other Orlando attractions, dining, and shopping. The hotel is situated on Universal Boulevard, also close to the Orange County Convention Center and Orlando International Airport.

This property offers something a little different from the typical theme park hotel—it’s part of the Marriott Bonvoy family, meaning you can earn and use points, enjoy perks, and still be close to the excitement of Universal while experiencing a boutique-style hotel.

A Retro-Modern Boutique Vibe

Hotel Landy has a unique style that blends modern luxury with a fun, retro vibe. The lobby and common spaces are inviting, colorful, and designed with a mid-century flair that sets it apart from the average Orlando hotel. It feels trendy and sophisticated without being overwhelming—perfect for both families and adults.

Amenities Guests Will Love

  • The Market – Grab-and-go snacks, drinks, and coffee, great for early park mornings.
  • Game Room – A playful spot for kids (and the young at heart).
  • Pool & Activities – More than just a place to cool off, the pool area is lively and designed for relaxation or family fun. Ping Pong, Bocce, and Cornhole games are provided!
  • Bar & Restaurant – On-site dining and cocktails, so you don’t always have to leave the property.
  • Spacious Common Areas – Comfortable spots to relax, work, or socialize.

Orly’s Market

A bright, energetic grab-and-go spot open from morning to evening, serving Starbucks favorites, freshly baked pastries, home-baked goods, and all-day hearty choices like breakfast sandwiches. It’s the perfect place to fuel up for park days.

Émilie Bar & Lounge

The signature lobby lounge, named after mathematician Émilie du Châtelet, offers inventive spins on classic dishes and handcrafted cocktails. With chic décor, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a creative menu—from ahi tuna tartare to the Landy Burger—this is a go-to for dinner, drinks, or gathering with friends or clients—a welcoming spot to unwind after a long park day.

Marriott Bonvoy Benefits

As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I appreciate the consistency and perks available across Marriott’s properties worldwide. At Hotel Landy, I received a $15 credit to use at the bar or market upon arrival—a small but thoughtful perk that makes your stay even better. Whether you’re earning or redeeming points, Bonvoy members get extra value here.

My Stay Experiences

During my first stay, I was upgraded to a Junior Suite King Room with a beautiful view of Epic Universe in the distance and sweeping views of Orlando. On my second stay, I had a standard King Room, which was just as stylish and comfortable. Both rooms were clean, modern, and carried that retro-modern theme throughout.

How a Travel Advisor Can Help

When it comes to Universal Orlando, there isn’t just one “right” way to stay. On-site hotels offer fantastic perks and convenience, while off-site Marriott Bonvoy properties, such as Hotel Landy, provide a boutique-style experience with loyalty benefits and flexibility.

As your travel advisor, I can help you determine which hotel option best suits your family or travel style. Whether you want to stay on-site at Universal for maximum park perks or prefer to take advantage of Marriott Bonvoy rewards at a stylish property like Hotel Landy, I’ll make sure you get the best value and the right fit for your trip.

Travel Advisor Tip: When to Book

The best time to book your hotel—whether on-site at Universal or Hotel Landy—is as early as possible. Booking in advance helps lock in lower rates and guarantees better room selection. With Marriott Bonvoy, you can often book flexible rates that allow changes closer to your trip.

Working with a travel advisor means you don’t have to worry about tracking rates, comparing perks, or wondering if you’re making the best choice—I’ll do all of that for you.

Hotel Landy Orlando has quickly become one of my favorite Marriott Bonvoy options near Universal. It’s stylish, comfortable, and close to everything you’ll want to see and do in Orlando. If you’re a Bonvoy member—or even if you’re not yet—it’s definitely worth considering for your next Orlando vacation. As your travel advisor, I can help you decide if this hotel or one of Universal’s on-site properties is the perfect match for your trip.
