Hi! Mark and Brittany Mira here – Welcome to our husband and wife adventure blog!
A little about us – We were both born and raised in Ohio (me-Dayton ~ him-Sandusky) and we met as twenty somethings living in Columbus, OH in 2009. The lack of sunshine and the desire for a total life change led us to pack up everything we owned, quit our jobs and move to St Pete, FL in 2015. A total life change is what we got and we couldn’t be happier!

A major part in choosing to move to Florida, besides being called the Sunshine State and St Pete being the Sunshine city, was the need to be involved with animal advocacy. We found Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, FL for that. We were volunteers from 2015 – 2023 and I was a staff member from 2018-2023. I was the online sales manager, contributed my photography and marketing skills as well as a social media contributor until they made the decision to close the sanctuary, sell the land, and relocate the animals – at which point I was let go. I was devastated to lose my dream job and the animals we cared for but now it’s time to move on and forward. You can read more about whats next for us on my Transparency Post.
While it’s been a difficult road, we can’t wait to see what comes next… so in the meantime – we want to share all the things we love about living in Florida and traveling the world!
Oh and one more thing…. WE LOVE DISNEY! You better get ready to see lots of Disney information and photos!!

The first time we have traveled out of Florida since 2020 and it was to visit family in Greenville, South Carolina for a beautiful weekend on Lake Hartwell.
